Community Engagement
Ontario is fortunate to have significant untapped waterpower potential. In the north, realizing this potential will undoubtedly involve the participation of local communities. The OWA has long recognized the importance of positive and productive relationships with Indigenous communities, municipalities, and associations. To date, more than two dozen municipalities and three municipal organizations in Ontario have pledged their support for waterpower by becoming “Waterpower Champions”.
