This event has grown to be the largest annual gathering and reunion of the hydroelectric industry with more than 450 delegates and 60+ exhibitors. Community Engagement
The OWA has long recognized the importance of positive and productive relationships with Indigenous communities, municipalities, and associations. Ontario is fortunate to have significant untapped waterpower potential. In the north, realizing this potential will undoubtedly involve the participation of Indigenous communities. Many Indigenous communities have moved from being partners in a waterpower project to the proponent of the project. Currently, eighteen communities and three associations (NOMA, ROMA, FONOM) have signed on to be a Waterpower Champion to show their support for waterpower.
