Tour Inside the Fenelon Falls Generating Station – Open to Everyone!
Every year, Doors Open Ontario attracts large crowds across Ontario. From April to October, residents and visitors are invited to discover first-hand Ontario’s hidden heritage treasures, some of which have never been open to the public.
For over a century, Canadians have relied on the forces of electricity to power the tools with which they communicate. Rebuilt in 1997, the Fenelon Falls Generating Station – a 2.6 megawatt hydroelectric station – supplies electricity to approximately 2,000 homes in the City of Kawartha Lakes (depending on the time of the year). During Doors Open, interior tours are scheduled. For more information CLICK HERE or e-mail Stephanie Landers email@example.com
